Everybody is screaming about the price of gas. Oil is once again in the headlines as the price per barrel heads over $100. Since the 1970s' any reasonably cognizant individual would acknowledge a real problem with oil exists in this country. The dependence is just too overwhelming to be strategically good for the USA. Yet two years into this administration can anyone tell me what urgency has been directed to alternative energy opportunities? Lots of chatter but no policy. It's a national stupidity not to attempt to reduce oil dependence. I guess we are too distracted by the antics of a lunatic like Charlie Sheen to worry about such mundane things as energy policy.
