To be sure, this has been the Winter of our discontent. You can't speak with anyone here in the Northeast who is not sick and tired of the snow and ice, along with the frigid cold. One could argue that this is the effect of global warming which gives rise (at least according to some scientists) to extremes in climate. One could also point to Australia where flooding has been devastating and where a huge cyclone is now bearing down on the continent. Did anyone see the movie The Day After Tomorrow? Somehow that flick keeps coming to mind as the weather gets stranger and stranger. Remember last summer when record hot temperatures roasted the East Coast, along with a terrible drought. This is all very problematic to me and makes me wonder what will happen next?
