For all the blabbering I do about the election I have come to recognize that my vote really doesn't count. I will be voting in New Jersey this November and unless there is some seismic event between now and then Obama will win solidly blue New Jersey. Indeed, for voters in other reliably blue or red states the same holds true. Of course on the plus side being in a non-contested state means seeing less of those moronic and insulting political commercials. Still, this situation pisses me off. Why should a bunch of yokels in Ohio have more influence of who will be leader of the free world versus me sitting in New Jersey? My solution is predictable and easy. Let the popular vote be in the determinant of who will be president. I want my vote to count.
